Founded by Dr. Jamie Smith, Icon was conceptualized after almost 20 years of chiropractic experience to offer superior patient care. Great attention to detail was taken to create a calm and inviting environment for our patients to enjoy during their wellness treatments.
We are happy to offer our patients Chiropractic, Massage Therapy and Acupuncture services as well as Custom Orthotics for healing, relief, and corrective care.
Dr. Jamie has created a clinic that is specifically designed for superior patient care. Having the opportunity to build a clinic from scratch has allowed Jamie to build on what has worked in the past and focus on areas of improvement. At Icon, modern design, sound resistant construction and the latest TheraLase© technology converge to provide the highest level of patient care. Meet Dr. Jamie
Dr. Jamie graduated from Chiropractic college in December of 2004. After completing Canadian exams and receiving her license from the Alberta College and Association of Chiropractors, she started practicing in February 2005. Jamie did her preceptorship, became an associate and then partner at an office in St. Albert where she practiced until April 2022.
Using Diversified (Hands on) adjusting, Thomson Drop Table, Activator and soft tissue work, Dr. Jamie enjoys using different techniques depending on the patient, preference and issues being addressed. Dr. Jamie focuses a lot of her continuing education on pregnancy and pediatric adjusting and loves having a family practice where everyone feels welcome and comfortable in the office.
When she is not at the clinic, Jamie enjoys spending time with friends and family, watching Oilers games and getting outside in the summer with the kids.
Meet Dr. Kate
Dr. Kate is a chiropractor with a passion for treating the human body. Every body is unique and therefore she likes to utilize a variety of techniques and tools when it comes to patient care. Dr. Kate takes a special interest in complex, chronic and long standing neurological complaints - such as disc related problems, sciatic pain, pinched nerves, etc. She focuses strongly on treating with movement, in addition to manual chiropractic adjustments, soft tissue techniques and rehabilitative exercises. Dr. Kate ensures her patients are empowered when they seek care from her by providing evidence-based patient education, as well as a personalized treatment plan equipped with rehabilitative exercises that strives to resolve the complaint or injury at its core. In her free time she enjoys rock climbing and hiking.

Brittney Sharawara - RMT
Brittney is a skilled Registered Massage therapist, that graduated from Alberta College of Massage Therapy. Her positive attitude and willingness to help her clients reach their treatment goals, always keeps her clients interested in a treatment plan with her. She is skilled in trigger point therapy, myofascial release, and deep tissue massage. She is able to lighten up her pressure also if you want a lighter relaxing massage treatment! In her spare time, she enjoys spending quality time with her daughter and being outside with family during the warmer months!
Amy Tripp - RMT
Amy is a professional massage therapist with over 20 years experience. Her areas of expertise are Deep tissue massage, Chinese glass cupping, Hot stone, Relaxation massage, and Reiki.Throughout her career, Amy has advanced her span of knowledge by learning new techniques, from taking many courses. Amy’s passion for massage has even taken her to Thailand to study Thai massage in Chiang Mai, which she incorporates into her treatments. By providing a friendly environment and very approachable attitude, she ensures that all her clients treatment goals are met.
Shawn Douglas Labrosse - RMT
Since beginning his journey as a massage therapist in 2016, Shawn has come to understand the universal need for relief. He holds the conviction that a sound mind thrives in a sound body. Shawn’s passion for aiding individuals in reclaiming their sense of self has only deepened through diverse experiences. Open dialogue is the cornerstone of his collaborative approach to addressing patient needs. Shawn’s tenure in various clinics and chiropractic settings has broadened his expertise and deepened his understanding of bodily health. Shawn is pleased to offer a variety of types of RMT treatments including deep tissue, MVA therapy, sports massage, lymphatic massage, and therapeutic massage.
Ashton Helm - RMT
Ashton is excited to be a practicing massage therapist at Icon Chiropractic and Wellness clinic. Her interest in how the connection of each muscle, joint and tissue affects the body and mind as a whole is what drew her to massage therapy. The functionality of our body, mind and mental health, how they support and sometimes challenge each other is what she is passionate about both in her personal and professional life. Ashton is proud to assist every body, injury, walk of life and well being to heal, thrive and excel. In her personal life, Ashton loves her garden, her cat Pancake, and being active with her friends and family.

What To Expect
Here at Icon you can expect modern and accessible design, sound resistant construction, and the latest technology infused treatments to ensure a healing and relaxing experience.

Initial Assessment
Before treatment begins, we will complete an initial assessment upon your first visit. The assessment will include a full history and a problem focused exam that may include tests such as orthopedic and range of motion exams.

Diagnosis
We will provide you with a diagnosis based on your initial assessment and testing. From here we can determine the best course of treatment.

Treatment
Treatments at Icon Chiropractic and Wellness Clinic are patient specific. Doctor Jamie provides diversified (hands-on), activator and drop table adjustments. Soft tissue and Laser Therapies are also available depending on how the patient presents and their preferences for care.

Home Care
We will provide you with at home care exercises and stretches to decrease your reliance on care. We also have a variety of products for purchase in clinic to aide in home care.
